This page lists new features and upgrades made to the GoVenture Digital Marketing simulation. Latest updates are at the top.

May 2026 #

• Additional activities are now available that can be assigned to students to supplement the Digital Marketing simulations. They can be used as discussion forum prompts or graded assignments. There are two types of activities: Brief and Comprehensive. See Instructor Guide section 9.

Nov 2025 #

• For Instructor Managed accounts (typically used by K-12 schools), student usernames have been simplified to 7 digits (1234567) versus the previous format of 7 digits plus a dash and 3-digit suffix (1234567-123).

August 2025 #

• Added a new feature — Advertising Simulation. Students practice placing ads, tracking performance metrics, and optimizing ad budgets to maximize profit.

January 2024 #

• Added a new feature — Marketing Content Creator. Enables students to practice creating marketing content. Choose any good or service to market and then follow a step-by-step process to create content to market the product. The instructor dashboard makes it easy for instructors to review and grade marketing content created by students.

March 2023 #

• Replaced 2D character graphics with 3D characters.
• Interface colors changed.
• Increased starting budget to avoid the possibility of players running out of money too soon.
