You Can't Teach Entrepreneurship — But You Can Help People Learn It.
I suspect most experienced entrepreneurs and educators would agree that you can't TEACH someone how to be an entrepreneur — but you can help them LEARN how to be one.
In my 25+ years of helping people learn entrepreneurship, I've created just about every type of learning resource there is — guides, books, videos, board games, card games, software games, and simulations.
I've also worked with thousands of educators to integrate these resources into courses that have reached millions of students.
And from all that experience, I can say with full confidence that the best way to learn entrepreneurship and develop the skills needed to succeed is by playing business simulations.
Lectures, guides, books, videos, case studies, and everything else have their roles in the learning process — but rarely as the first experience and never as the core.
These resources should support the experience, not drive it.
